About The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to lead our capital markets team. As a Cloud Architect, you will design and develop scalable cloud-based systems for high-traffic applications in the financial sector.

In this role, you will work closely with our technical delivery manager to identify customer business objectives and recommend technical solutions. You will also coordinate with our development team to ensure timely project delivery and manage specific aspects of project scope, schedules, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable cloud-based systems for capital markets applications.
  • Solution architecting, designing, estimating effort and timelines, and building/maintaining systems.
  • Lead the implementation of AWS best practices, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Coordinate and manage a team of 4-6 developers, ensuring code quality and code review process.
  • Mentor and work closely with junior developers on day-to-day project work efforts.
  • Overall ownership of technical project planning, underlying solutions developed and deployed by the development team.
  • Client communication, status updates, stakeholder expectation management, especially with clients' business and tech stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Create strong practices around test-driven development, automating delivery of applications with strong CI/CD practices.

Qualifications:

  • Master's (M.Tech., M.) or Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or equivalent from reputable institutes like IIT, NIT preferred.
  • Overall 4-6 years of experience with minimum 2 years of relevant experience and a strong technical background.
  • Experience working in mid-size IT services companies is preferred.
  • Domestic/international capital markets, stock broking, mutual fund, stock exchanges, investment banking experience will be a major plus.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Node, Go Lang, Java, Python, .Net or similar for backend development.
  • Knowledge in high-performance computing and optimization, including network-level packet sniffing, turnaround time, data compression, and technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebSockets, Redis, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience with writing and maintaining unit-tests, functional tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of common technologies such as REST web services, OAuth, JSON, XML, SQL.
  • Experience in Unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Proven expertise in AWS services, particularly in architecting and implementing solutions for large-scale projects.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Professional/Speciality certification) are a strong advantage.
  • Ability to think from a product mindset.
  • Experience working on large, complex transactional systems is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, coding, and release management.
