This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to improving the author experience and helping authors find suitable publication outlets for their research.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating content as a partner to external editors, improving the editorial process, engaging with authors to help them enhance their manuscripts, managing the editorial process from submission through peer review to final decision, and recruiting and managing external editors.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate content to ensure high-quality submissions;
- Collaborate with external editors to improve the editorial process;
- Engage with authors to provide guidance on manuscript improvement;
- Manage the editorial process to ensure efficient peer review and decision-making;
- Recruit and manage external editors to maintain high standards;
- PhD in Environmental Sciences or related field;
- A strong track record of publishing research papers in scientific journals;
- Excellent written and spoken English skills;
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment;
- Passion for science and education;
