Job Title: Process Simulations and OTS Design Engineer

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a skilled engineer to develop and validate process simulations using tools like Aspen Plus, HYSYS, EDR, Adsorption, and HTRI.
  • You will be responsible for model building, tuning, and integration of models in OTS software and other applications.
  • This role involves simulating normal operations including hot or cold start-up and complete or partial shutdown operations.
  • Attaining steady state and dynamic simulation for various processes is also a key responsibility.
  • You will perform detailed heat and mass balance calculations and hydraulic analysis across different process systems.
  • Equipment sizing for unit operations such as distillation columns, heat exchangers, evaporators, separators, and pumps is another critical aspect of this role.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Implementation experience in simulation software like Petro-Sim, MIMIC, OmegaLand, UniSim Design, ASPEN HYSYS, DYNSIM, Aspen-Dynamics, Aveva, Promax, or similar is essential.
  • Design to commissioning experience on simulation projects, including process modeling, DCS integration, OTS, scenario training, model testing, FAT, MAT, PDET, is highly desirable.
  • Evaluating engineering documents such as process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, equipment data sheets, C&E's, unit process dynamics to develop simulations of complex processes is a crucial skill.
  • A strong knowledge and experience in automation systems in chemical, petro-chemical, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical domains is required.
  • Generating documentation such as FDS, DDS, MAT, and FAT procedures is an additional responsibility.
  • A deep understanding of separation technologies including distillation, extraction, evaporation, chemical reactions, adsorption, pervaporation, etc. is necessary.
