Job Description">

The Senior CAD Technician plays a pivotal role in the creation and editing of drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. This position requires a high degree of technical proficiency and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Duties and Responsibilities">
  • ">
  • Responsible for creating and editing drawings in compliance with established CAD standards and detailing practices.">
  • Supervise and coordinate the workload of junior CAD technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.">
  • Review and monitor the production of drawings to ensure quality and accuracy.">
  • Generate sections, schedules, and schematics from general arrangement drawings.">
  • Ensure that drawings are issued and filed in an appropriate manner.">
  • Conversion of ACAD drawings to other formats such as DWF & PDF.">
  • Provide regular work status updates to line manager, including risks or concerns.">
  • Embed health and safety into all work practices in line with company policies.">
  • Develop expertise and stay abreast of developments in relevant technical fields.">
  • Contribute to the technical capabilities of the CAD team as a whole.">
  • Attend and contribute in team/project meetings as required.">
  • Contribute to the delivery of business unit strategy.">
">Required Skills and Qualifications">

This role requires the following skills and qualifications:

  • ">
  • Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant discipline draughting service with ACAD.">
  • Minimum of 10+ years relevant work experience using AutoCAD.">
  • Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings.">
  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD software (version 2020 and above).">
  • Experience with CIVIL 3D / Navisworks Manage / 3D CAD modeling is preferred.">
  • Experience in the supervision and mentoring of other CAD technicians.">
  • Good working knowledge of the relevant discipline.">
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office.">
  • Familiar with working in a LAN environment.">
  • Working knowledge of BIM software packages.">
