Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance specialist to play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our web and mobile applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of manual and automated testing processes, methodologies, and tools. He/She will also have experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand application features and design appropriate test strategies.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and performance testing.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in quality assurance and testing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write SQL queries for testing purposes.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent analytical abilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automating test cases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
