Financial Operations Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The financial operations manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting for an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Management: Preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, and reporting on these financial risks to senior colleagues.
  • Internal Controls Development: Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Financial Policies and Procedures: Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices across the organization.
  • Financial Systems Management: Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.
  • Statutory Reports: Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations.
