Job Title: Cyber Security Professional

Job Description

Cybersecurity is a critical component of our technology infrastructure, and we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team. As a Cyber Security Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions to safeguard our systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
  • Monitor Systems and Networks: Continuously monitor our systems and networks for potential security breaches and investigate violations to ensure the highest levels of system integrity and data protection.
  • Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner, leading incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure that our systems, applications, and network configurations comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Collaboration with IT and Development Teams: Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Security Tool Management: Manage firewalls, antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM), data loss prevention (DLP), and intrusion detection/prevention system (IDS/IPS) tools.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain documentation related to security architecture, incidents, and processes, as well as conduct security awareness training for staff and developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), proxies, and endpoint protection.

A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required. Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK), vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools is essential.

Experience with scripting or automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is highly desirable.
