About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our business finance team in working capital finance solutions. This is a unique opportunity to develop and manage relationships with key partners, drive growth, and improve clients' liquidity through efficient working capital financing options.

  • The ideal candidate will have a mix of business development, partner management, and financial expertise to structure and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
  • They will identify potential partners, such as banks, NBFCs, fintech firms, and other financial institutions, to enhance the working capital finance ecosystem.
  • The role requires building and maintaining long-term relationships with partners, serving as the primary point of contact for communication and collaboration.
  • A key aspect of the job is developing and implementing strategies to acquire new partners, continuously expanding the partner network.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams (sales, product, legal, finance) to understand client needs and develop tailored working capital solutions.
  • Conducting market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities is crucial, ensuring we stay ahead of competitors.
  • The role also involves working with internal and external teams to structure working capital finance solutions such as supply chain financing, trade credit, factoring, invoice discounting, and lines of credit.
  • Leading negotiations with partners and clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms while adhering to regulations, is another essential responsibility.
  • The Business Finance Team Lead will provide training and support to partners on working capital finance products, enabling them to communicate the value proposition to clients.
  • Tracking partner performance, monitoring KPIs, and identifying areas for improvement to ensure timely delivery of solutions is also a critical aspect of the role.
  • Collaborating with legal teams to ensure all partnership agreements comply with regulations, mitigate risks, and are legally sound is vital.
  • The successful candidate will stay informed about changes in financial regulations and market dynamics, adapting strategies accordingly to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
  • Monitoring industry developments and best practices, applying relevant insights to improve the efficiency and scope of working capital solutions, is also required.
  • This role involves working on developing marketing materials and partner-facing content to support sales efforts and enhance partner understanding of products.
  • Providing ongoing feedback and recommendations to product teams based on partner feedback, helping to refine and improve working capital finance solutions, is an essential part of the job.
  • Developing effective relationships with stakeholders, including partners, clients, and internal teams, is critical to success.
  • The Business Finance Team Lead will be responsible for driving growth, improving client satisfaction, and enhancing the company's reputation in the working capital finance space.
  • They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and contribute to the company's overall strategy.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience in working capital finance, financial services, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration, is typically required.
  • Professional certifications, such as a CFA or CAIA, may be preferred by some employers.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial services or banking environment, is typically required.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, partner management, and financial expertise is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
