About the Role

Khan Academy India is seeking a highly skilled professional to support the implementation of our programme in the government school system of Mumbai. As a Project Lead, you will work closely with the Senior Program Lead and the BMC - Education Department to drive the adoption of our learning platform across government schools in Mumbai.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be to:

  1. Support Programme Implementation: Work with the Senior Program Lead and the state nodal officer of BMC - Education Department to help support the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in BMC.
  2. Take Ownership of Work Streams: Deliver on pre-agreed goals and take ownership of work streams to ensure successful programme implementation.
  3. Deliver Training to Education Officials: Deliver and support in delivering training to education officials (Khan Academy program mentors/administrative cadre) and teachers on a regular basis.
  4. Follow Up on Training Implementation: Follow up on training implementation and unearth insights and challenges to strengthen the program for all teachers continuously.
  5. Manage Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials which include nodal officers, state resource persons, ward-level officers, and school stakeholders.
  6. Assist in Data-Backed Insights: Assist the program and partners throughout the implementation to take the right decisions based on data-backed insights.
  7. Conduct Field Visits: Regularly conduct field visits (3-4/week) and have regular touchpoints with the officers and teachers to generate insights from the schools that will help the Khan Academy team identify strategic levers to increase adoption and deepen usage of Khan Academy.
  8. Manage Knowledge: Ensure that all state discussions are documented in a standard format and keep key stakeholders (internal and external) in the loop.
  9. Analyze Qualitative Feedback: Build our learning muscle by analyzing qualitative feedback from the state systems.
  10. Collaborate with Other Teams: Collaborate with the rest of the teams at Khan Academy India to ensure timely and successful delivery of our program and services.
  11. Provide Any Other Support: Provide any other support, as needed, for the programme.

About You

You would be a great fit for the role if you are:

  1. A passionate professional with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  2. Fluent in Marathi and English (spoken and written).
  3. A strong collaborator with an ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  4. Able to navigate through complex situations comfortably and make informed decisions aligned with the shared goals between partners and Khan Academy.
  5. Someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  6. Excellent in documenting information from multiple sources and presenting it in a consumable format for others in English and Marathi.
  7. Comfortable working with data and analyzing qualitative insights.
  8. A quick learner and an entrepreneurial mindset with a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias toward action.
  9. Willing to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we grow.
  10. Passionate about education and have a strong desire to change the world for the better.

Comfortable relocating to Mumbai and traveling regularly within Mumbai.
