Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft patent applications for inventions in the field of Information and Communication Technologies, ensuring compliance with US and EP patent legal and procedural standards.
  • Deliver prosecution projects, including formulating response strategies for office actions and drafting complete responses to those actions.
  • Develop well-crafted claim sets that meet US and EP patent requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on technical areas and support their professional growth.
  • Mentor team members and interns on assigned technology areas, offering direction and guidance for drafting and/or prosecution work.
  • Apply process knowledge to produce consistent, high-quality results in assigned tasks.
  • Work independently on assigned projects, including creating and supporting processes for client deliverables, talent development, and performance enhancement.
  • Identify issues through root cause analysis, implement best practices, and provide recommendations to enhance team performance and improve productivity.
  • Analyze problems using available tools and provide effective solutions.
  • Participate in the hiring process by preparing test papers, evaluating candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Lead team members in specialized technical assignments and projects requiring a high level of proficiency and competency.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or technology from a reputable institution is required.
  • Excellent domain knowledge in the ICT field (Information and Communication Technologies) is essential.
  • At least 4 years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, with at least 2 years of experience in patent drafting for the US jurisdiction.

Experience in drafting over 50 patent applications for the US domain is preferred.
