Job Overview

The role of a Tax Compliance Specialist involves tax preparation, providing expert advice on tax matters and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

This includes preparing personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns, applying provisions of the US tax treaty to cross-border transactions, and assisting with sales tax filings and registrations.

Responsibilities
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare accurate and complete tax returns in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Tax Advisory: Provide expert guidance on tax planning and strategy to clients and management.
  • Sales Tax Filings: Assist with sales tax filings and registrations to ensure accurate and timely payment of taxes owed.
  • Government Audits: Assist with government tax audits, including analytical support, information collection, response preparation, and direct interaction with clients and the IRS.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work as an effective member of a team, motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, and proactive problem solver.
