About the Role:

As a Cloud Engineering Lead at Thomson Reuters, you will be responsible for leading a team of cloud engineers in the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-based systems. You will work closely with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of applications on the AWS/Azure cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze high-value customer problems of significant complexity and provide guidance to team members.
  • Assess the scope of impact and anticipate customer impact of issues.
  • Define, review, and lead the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Identify options for problem resolution and recommend solutions.
  • Engage others as appropriate and escalate as required.
  • Provide advice or training to users about application systems' functionality, correct operation, or constraints.
  • Liaise with various application development and content teams, customer service teams, and other software and hardware support teams.
  • Proactively monitor or lead other team members in production and non-production environments and/or applications.
  • Develop and/or review technical plans and solutions.
  • Provide technical and/or managerial guidance to analysts.
  • Have in-depth technical expertise in various areas and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Lead and represent the team at key cross-functional workgroup discussions.
  • Provide technical leadership on complex projects.
  • Evaluate new technologies.

About You:

You are fit for this role if your background includes:

  • Work with application teams to manage and support applications into production.
  • Be a single point of contact for all stakeholders.
  • Drive projects related to new service onboarding.
  • Formalize processes for new onboarding as per TR standards.
  • Identify existing gaps and drive continuous improvements to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead the team from the front and provide directions to teams.
  • Be an active team player who doesn't hesitate to get involved hands-on as and when needed.
  • Continuously improve the on-going support model, including incident, release, and change management for maintaining strategic environments.
  • Provide well-written documentation and technical presentations on projects supported by the team.
  • Provide problem management services by utilizing diagnostic and debugging tools to aid in troubleshooting efforts.
  • Coordinate the implementation of application monitoring, establish support documentation, and provide training on products and procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance on troubleshooting and performance tuning of supported environments.
