Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of scalable analytics solutions using SAP Datasphere and SAC. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of modern data management principles and be able to design, implement, and manage data models and business layers using SAP Datasphere.

The successful candidate will also have expertise in building and managing connections to SAP and non-SAP sources, architecting spaces, data flows, consumption models, and semantic views within Datasphere. Additionally, they will be able to enable and support SAP Business Data Fabric (BDC) principles, perform migration assessments, and execute projects to move BW and BPC models to Datasphere.

In this role, you will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure data quality, performance, and governance during migration. You will also be responsible for leveraging SAC Planning features, data actions, and predictive functions as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, model, and implement scalable data models and business layers using SAP Datasphere.
  • Build and manage connections to SAP and non-SAP sources including BW/4HANA, ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Architect spaces, data flows, consumption models, and semantic views within Datasphere.
  • Enable and support SAP Business Data Fabric (BDC) principles: virtual access, federation, semantic harmonization, and distributed query optimization.
  • Perform migration assessments and execute projects to move BW and BPC models to Datasphere.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Strong knowledge of:

  • SAP BTP and SAP Business Data Fabric (BDC) architecture and integration services.
  • Data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud data management.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA views (CVs), BEx queries, and their conversion or replacement in Datasphere/SAC.

Preferred skills include:

  • SAP Certifications in Datasphere, SAC, or BW/4HANA.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have

You may also have experience with:

  • SAP Data Intelligence, SAP MDG, or SAP Group Reporting.
  • Non-SAP analytics tools like Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
  • Cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks.
Soft Skills

You should possess:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An analytical mindset with attention to performance, cost, and governance.
  • Ability to work in agile and cross-functional teams across business and IT.
