Job Title: Tax Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead and coordinate tax audits under the Income Tax and GST Acts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the team in achieving compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating and leading tax audits, ensuring timely completion and quality of work;
  2. Providing guidance and support to team members on tax matters, including research and analysis;
  3. Developing and implementing effective tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize returns;
  4. Maintaining accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements;
  5. Staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending process enhancements;
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of tax activities with overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in tax leadership roles, preferably in a similar industry or sector;
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and guidelines, including Income Tax and GST Acts;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify and prioritize key issues and opportunities;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively;
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
