About the Role:
The Telesales Assistant Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing a team of telesales executives. The successful candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of telesales executives to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet business objectives.
- Monitor performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure team members are meeting expectations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
Sales Strategy & Operations:
- Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue growth and meet business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and retain customers.
- Manage sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to support lead generation and customer engagement initiatives.
Team Development & Management:
- Provide training and coaching to improve communication, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
- Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to ensure team members are meeting expectations.
- Manage team dynamics, conflicts, and performance issues in a fair and consistent manner.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of telesales/inside sales experience with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of managing large telesales teams (20–30+ people).
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure sales environments.
- Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office tools.
