Business Operations Executive Summary:

The Finance Director will oversee company financial operations, including financial reporting, book closure, ERP management, costing, statutory compliance, audits, and internal controls. This role is critical for ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and adherence to regulatory policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures on time and accurately.
  • Prepare and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure general ledger accuracy and integrity.

Audit Management

  • Lead audits coordinating with external auditors, internal auditors, and stakeholders. Experience with Big 6 preferred.
  • Implement corrective actions arising from audit findings.

Compliance & Regulatory

  • Ensure statutory compliance including Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other laws.
  • Prepare and file required financial documents with regulatory bodies.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls for financial closure and process compliance.
  • Identify process gaps and drive automation improvements.
  • Optimize regular activities and manage time efficiently.
  • Adhere to corporate policies and accounting principles.
  • Understand production processes, implement costing processes, and develop robust ERP Systems.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Assist the CFO in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze variances and provide insights for cost control and performance improvement.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor finance teams across accounting, payables, receivables, and taxation.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, discipline, and continuous improvement in finance.

Required Skills:

Education & Experience

  • CA / CPA / CMA qualifications.
  • 7–12 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Preferred experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Excellent understanding of audit processes and regulatory compliance.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or engineering-driven industries.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, costing, and ERP management.
