Job Opportunity: Data Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the security and integrity of our database systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configure and implement database security solutions to protect against cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and deploy tailored solutions.
  • Perform overnight system changes and updates to support teams across multiple regions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Update documentation and tooling to improve incident response and operational readiness.
  • Support post-incident reviews and ensure learnings are documented and actioned.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of alerting systems and operational workflows.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with database security solutions is essential.
  • Strong background in Linux, System Administration, OS/Server Administration, and Firewall troubleshooting.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently during night shift hours and occasionally sync with the team remotely.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
