We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer-Test to join our team in building cutting-edge automation tools and frameworks

This role involves envisioning, designing and developing tools, frameworks and testing infrastructure to facilitate testing by multiple teams and businesses

  • Broaden your expertise in test automation frameworks and tools
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in test tools, environments and reporting mechanisms

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on dynamic and fast-moving projects, improving Alexa's efficiency and approach to testing

You will lead test automation efforts for critical and complex technical projects, spanning multiple service teams and Amazon businesses

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Designing and developing test automation frameworks and tools
  • Leading design review, test planning and tools reviews
  • Simplifying test tools and technologies

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to own, design, lead and implement test strategies for complex applications and deployment topologies
