Editorial Role at Thomson Reuters

Thomson Reuters is seeking a skilled Desk Editor to join our team in Bangalore. As a key member of our editorial team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the content of our news stories and ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy, speed, balance, and clarity.

About the Role:

  • Edit, rewrite, and reshape stories with dynamic prose and strong news judgment, ensuring they have context and actionable content for clients.
  • Produce sharp headlines, punchy leads, and overall lively writing that engages our audience.
  • Enforce Thomson Reuters' high editorial and ethical standards, adhering to style, guidelines, and policies laid out by the Reuters Trust Principles and the Reuters Handbook of Journalists.

About You:

  • You will have at least 5 years of experience editing business news, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality content under pressure.
  • You will be able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with reporters and news editors to produce compelling stories.
  • You will have strong communication skills and a diverse and inclusive mindset, with the ability to work with a global team.
  • You will be well-versed in financial news and comfortable editing stories across asset classes.
  • You will have a strong background in editing, with an eye for detail and the ability to simplify and explain complex material.
