Video Editing Position

We are looking for a skilled video editor to join our organization. As a video editor, you will be responsible for editing video content for various formats.

  • Editing Responsibilities: Cutting together trailers, teasers, and sizzle reels that capture audience attention and drive engagement.
  • Storytelling Expertise: Weaving compelling narratives using footage, music, graphics, pacing, and transitions.
  • Visual Effects: Adding finishing touches like sound design, subtitles, animations, and visual effects to bring videos to life.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with directors, producers, motion designers, and content strategists to align edits with brand tone and creative goals.
  • Project Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality output.
  • Platform Optimization: Optimizing content for different platforms.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in video editing or post-production.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a reputable institution with 1-2 years of experience in Communication, Media, or related field.
  • A solid portfolio showcasing versatility in editing styles and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve – or your tools of choice.
  • A keen eye for pacing, rhythm, transitions, and overall visual storytelling.
  • Confidence in editing scenes with a sense of flow and emotion, particularly for social-first content.

Desirable Skills:

  • Trailer-Cutting Chops: Experience building emotional momentum and rhythm, especially with music.
  • Motion Graphics Skills: Familiarity with After Effects or similar tools for animations, title design, and lower thirds.
  • AI Tools Savvy: Experience working with generative AI tools to enhance edits.
  • Colour Grading Expertise: Strong understanding of color theory and ability to give footage a cinematic feel.
  • Sound Design Basics: Proficiency in syncing and ambient effects.
  • Green Screen Know-How: Comfortable with chroma keying and background replacements.
  • Multicam Experience: Ability to sync and cut footage from multiple camera angles.
  • Workflow Efficiency: Skilled in using templates, LUTs, presets, and other hacks to streamline process.
  • Subtitles & Voiceovers: Familiarity with adding multilingual captions and VO integration.
