Job Title: Database Administrator

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure seamless data storage and retrieval.

Your primary goal will be to guarantee the highest level of database performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve database-related issues, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently.

To achieve this, you will need to have strong skills in database design, maintenance, configuration, and administration. You should also be proficient in Linux/Unix and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear explanations and recommendations to support business decisions.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain databases to meet business requirements
  • Ensure high-performance, secure, and reliable database operations
  • Analyze and resolve database-related issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and address database needs
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users
  • Maintain accurate documentation of database designs and configurations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong understanding of database concepts, design principles, and architectures
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large-scale databases and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)
