Job Role:

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to fill the role of Product Designer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with 2-6 years of experience in design and development.

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing various tasks including modeling, drafting, and design calculation using Solidworks CAD. They will also conduct basic structural FEA using Solidworks Simulation and perform benchmarking/RE/VA/VE activities of products under supervision.

Additionally, the Design Engineer will be responsible for conducting design reviews, optimizing designs based on feedback from cross-functional teams or suppliers, and preparing and submitting GAD and 3D models.

They will also work on RFT/Productivity improvement, cost reduction projects through PMS and resolve field issues based on product knowledge through 8D.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform design tasks like modeling/drafting using Solidworks CAD, design calculation, basic structural FEA using Solidworks Simulation, tolerance stack-up analysis, apply GD&T, Release ECRN, Verify/Correct Production BOMs etc.
  • Conduct benchmarking/RE/VA/VE activities of products under supervision by understanding various manufacturing processes and tolerances/surface finishes that could be achieved using those processes.
  • Witness/guide for testing &test setup.
  • Conduct design review of new parts/products with cross-functional team or suppliers and optimize the design based on their feedback.
  • Prepare & Submit GAD &3D model.
  • RFT /Productivity improvement, cost reduction projects through PMS.
  • Field issues to be resolved based on their product knowledge through 8D.
  • Perform task assign in Various FMS/PMS.
