This is a key leadership role that oversees the structural engineering function and drives success in the field. As a senior structural engineer, you will lead and manage a team of junior engineers to ensure timely delivery of engineering designs, plans, and documents within quality and cost parameters.

  • Lead and Manage a Team: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of junior structural engineers to ensure timely delivery of engineering designs, plans, and documents within quality and cost parameters.
  • Provide Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and performance reviews for the structural team/consultant.
  • Manage Projects: Manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and risk assessments for ongoing projects.
Technical Skills:
  • Structural Design: Lead and review the development of structural design for buildings, retaining walls, and other structures.
  • Software Tools: Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering calculations, load assessments, and finite element analysis using software tools (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, RCDC).
  • Design Validation: Validate design assumptions and methodologies against applicable international and local standards.
  • Optimization: Optimize structural systems and material.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders on structural matters.
  • Meetings and Presentations: Participate in design charrettes, pre-construction meetings, and construction progress meetings. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management through appointed consultants.
