Job Title: Mainframe Batch Processing Specialist

About the Role:
The role of Mainframe Batch Processing Specialist involves handling end-to-end batch processing for Vision Plus applications in production and test environments. This position requires a strong understanding of mainframe technologies and experience with batch COBOL programs, file handling, and data manipulation.

Responsibilities:
  • Handling Vision Plus application batch processing in clients' production and test environments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of batch processes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Vision Plus batch processes.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for incidents and developed modules and functionalities.

Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience with mainframe technologies and environments. Must have recent experience with Vision Plus application batch processing and the ability to automate batch processes based on requirements.

Working Environment:
This position requires working from a dedicated delivery center with occasional on-call support and flexible hours to meet business needs. Collaboration with global teams may be necessary, requiring strong communication and coordination skills.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience in handling day-to-day batch processing in production and test environments.
  • Commanding knowledge of JCL Scripting, Job Scheduling, Job dependencies, and error handling.
  • Proficiency in batch COBOL programs, file handling, and data manipulation.
  • Thorough understanding of end-to-end batch processing.
  • Recent experience with Vision Plus application batch processing.
  • Ability to automate batch processes based on requirements.
