Our organization is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Designer to lead piping system projects from conception to completion.

About the Role
  • Piping Design & Leadership: You will oversee piping design activities, including layout and pipe rack design. This involves working in 3D environments to create deliverables like general arrangement drawings, piping layouts, and spool drawings.
  • 3D Modeling & Coordination: You will be responsible for reviewing 3D models, performing clash checks, and resolving issues. Additionally, you will effectively collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Technical Guidance & Quality: As a senior designer, you will provide technical guidance and support to junior team members while adhering to our quality control procedures. You will also be accountable for ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety policies.

  3. Quality Assurance and Compliance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: A diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an ITI/NCTVT certification in Mechanical Draftsman from a reputable institute.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8-12 years of experience working with 3D design tools like Plant 3D or Revit. Consulting experience is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of standard piping engineering techniques and principles.
    • Familiarity with relevant piping codes such as ASME BPE, ASME B16.1, and ASME B31.3.
    • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools, including AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
