Academic and Administrative Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Physiotherapy College, driving excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide academic and administrative leadership, ensuring the highest standards of education, research, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Academic Leadership: Plan, implement, and monitor academic programs, ensuring compliance with statutory norms.
  2. Supervise curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  3. Guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums, promoting intellectual curiosity and collaboration.
  4. Ensure effective clinical training and integration with hospital services, enhancing student learning outcomes and community impact.
  1. Administrative & Managerial: Oversee day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy College/Department, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, managing institutional relationships and navigating regulatory landscapes.
  3. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance, promoting a culture of accountability and growth.
  4. Prepare budgets, manage resources, and ensure infrastructure adequacy, supporting strategic initiatives and departmental objectives.
  1. Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, maintaining institutional reputation and credibility.
  2. Maintain proper records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities, facilitating audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.
  3. Facilitate stakeholder engagement, building partnerships with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies, enhancing collaborative opportunities and knowledge exchange.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).
  • Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy education, pedagogy, and healthcare trends, with ability to balance academics, clinical, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Research-oriented mindset, with publications in reputable journals and expertise in grant writing and project management.
