Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Oracle Database Administrator. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our databases.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Database Security: You will implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Tuning: You will optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshooting: You will troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Backup and Recovery: You will develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.
  • Oracle DBA experience, either as a fresher or an experienced candidate with basic knowledge of Oracle database administration.
  • Understanding of Oracle database architecture, including datafiles, control files, redo logs, and undo management.

Key Skills:

  • Familiarity with Oracle database concepts, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Understanding of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
