**Key Role: FPGA Architect**

The role of an FPGA Architect is crucial in the development and design of complex FPGA projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage expertise in RTL languages to develop high-quality FPGA designs.
  • Collaborate with system architects to define the system architecture and determine how the FPGA will interface with other components.
  • Choose an appropriate FPGA based on project requirements and ensure timely closure of complex designs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D Project Managers, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA developers, Software Qualification Engineers, and Software Engineers.
  • Develop self-checking Simulation environments involving test benches, scripts for automation, and writing test cases.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in R&D, specifically in FPGA development (Altera, Xilinx).
  • Experience with EDA Functional Simulation tools – Synopsys, Mentor, or Cadence.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, protocols, and product segments.
  • Excellent written skills for creating documents like Product Definitions, Detailed FPGA Designs, Hardware & Software Interface documents.

Technical Expertise:

  • RTL languages (VHDL, Verilog).
  • EDA Functional Simulation tools (Synopsys, Mentor, Cadence).
  • FPGA development (Altera, Xilinx).
