Cloud Manager

Job Title: Cloud Manager

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Manager to manage, optimize, and secure our cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud administration, database management, performance tuning, security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Account Management: Manage cloud accounts, users, roles, and permissions following RBAC principles.
  • Query Performance Optimization: Monitor query performance, optimize resources, and tune workloads to ensure efficient execution.
  • Database Administration: Oversee databases, schemas, tables, and data pipelines in the cloud.
  • Security Implementation: Implement security best practices including encryption, data masking, network policies, and audit logging.
  • Automation Development: Develop scripts for monitoring, alerting, and automating administrative tasks (SQL, Python, etc.).
  • Resource Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Track resource utilization, storage, and query performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Cost Management: Manage compute and storage costs by monitoring consumption and implementing optimization strategies.
  • Upgrade & Maintenance: Apply patches, monitor updates, and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Integration Support: Support integrations with ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years as a Cloud Manager
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of cloud features, proficiency in SQL and scripting, experience with cloud platforms and integrations, familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, and knowledge of data security & governance practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification.
  • Skills: Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, familiarity with Datadog, Splunk, or other monitoring tools, hands-on experience in DevOps / CI-CD pipelines for data workflows, and exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics workloads on the cloud.
