Backend Developer

This role is a critical position in our organization that requires an experienced backend developer with expertise in Java and Spring Boot, as well as significant knowledge of Elasticsearch and related data ingestion pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Accessibility: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design implementations align with specifications and user expectations. Implement accessibility best practices in all software deliverables to promote inclusivity across all user demographics.
  • Backend Development: Develop robust backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Search & Data Ingestion: Utilize Elasticsearch to build data ingestion pipelines powered by event-driven architectures and patterns.
  • Messaging & Event-Driven Systems: Leverage messaging queues such as Kafka, SNS/SQS, and AMQP to create resilient and scalable systems.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Facilitate and refine CI/CD processes to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor and address issues related to application usability, performance, and scalability.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Expertise in Elasticsearch and SLOR.
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion pipelines powered by Event Driven Architectures and patterns.
  • Experience with messaging queues such as Kafka, SNS/SQS, and AMQP.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, reusable code.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
  • Proven experience as a Java developer with a focus on Elasticsearch and event-driven architectures.
