Structural Draftsman Job OpeningDescription:

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Structural Draftsman to join our engineering team and contribute to the preparation of accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structural drafting using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools, with a solid understanding of construction and detailing standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality structural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required by clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain BIM models and update them as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with company and project BIM standards, as well as local and international building codes and regulations.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software to resolve conflicts and issues.
  • Perform quality control checks on drafted output and manage drawing revisions to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide input on constructability and detailing issues to enhance project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least 2 years using BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards is necessary.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications is crucial.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills are required for successful collaboration with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Revit or BIM is desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards is advantageous.
  • Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
