About this role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to contribute to the development and scaling of modern financial data platforms. This position involves working with Snowflake, dbt, and financial systems integration to provide trusted insights and accurate financial reporting for Accounting and Finance teams.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with other engineers, analysts, and Finance partners to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines that power critical financial systems, reporting, and compliance needs.

  • Snowflake Data Engineering: Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake to ensure performance and scalability for finance and accounting workloads.
  • dbt Development: Build and maintain dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
  • Financial Systems Integration: Implement data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools.
  • Collaboration: Work directly with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions.
  • Data Quality & Compliance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data to support audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
  • 2+ years of dbt experience (building models, transformations, testing, and documentation).
  • Strong SQL development skills with focus on efficiency and maintainability.
  • Experience working with financial or accounting data, translating business requirements into data pipelines.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts (e.g., revenue recognition, double-entry principles) and ability to partner with Finance/Accounting teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or similar).

  • Data governance and compliance requirements in financial reporting
  • Python or other scripting languages for automation
