Job Title: Test Manager

Description:

 

The primary role of a Test Manager is to oversee and direct the end-to-end testing strategy, planning, and execution for core banking implementation projects.

This involves managing test teams, defining test strategies, overseeing execution, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, plan, and manage the end-to-end testing strategy for core banking implementation projects.
  • Lead testing teams across different test phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Performance Testing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Review and approve test plans, test cases, and scenarios to validate business requirements and system design.
  • Ensure effective defect management, root cause analysis, and closure within agreed timelines.
  • Provide test progress reporting, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, QA processes, compliance standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee integration testing with third-party systems, APIs, microservices, and batch processes.
  • Support operations teams during mock runs, business simulation, and production cutover testing.
  • Guide and mentor the testing team, ensuring capability building and effective resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate with 12+ years of experience in IT Testing, including at least 6–8 years in core banking testing projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale testing programs in core banking (FCUBS versions 11.x – 14.x).
  • Hands-on experience in test strategy design, effort estimation, resource planning, and test execution.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations and modules such as Core Banking, Payments, Loans, Trade Finance, and General Ledger.
  • Expertise in PL/SQL, APIs, REST APIs, microservices, and batch processing (advantageous for integration testing).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar) for functional and performance testing.
  • Experience in digital transformation projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills with proven ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
