Job Title: Embedded Security Specialist

A leading company is seeking an experienced Embedded Security Specialist to join their team in the industrial automation sector.

About the Role:
  • This position focuses on the cybersecurity aspects of architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of runtime codebases.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Cybersecurity Advisor/Coach to ensure each release meets internal and external standards, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide guidance on architecting, designing, and threat model mentoring to team members during development cycles.
  2. Evaluate, track, and resolve product and runtime cybersecurity issues and related technical debt in 3rd party packages.
  3. Manage tools for static and dynamic code analysis (Coverity, SQuORE, Halgrind, Valgrind, CppCheck) and Software Composition Analysis (Black Duck Binary Analysis, Black Duck Hub).

The successful candidate will have expertise in evaluating false-positive findings, triaging bugs, resolving or assigning as appropriate, and working with teams to resolve BDBA/BDH findings.

Requirements:
  • Setup qualimetry data for significant branches (master branch, release branches, component branches)
  • Regular/scheduled and on-demand scans to detect abnormalities
  • Monitor changes and notify if trending is upward
  • Create and update formal reports on branches

  • Prior experience in managing security operations and developing secure software solutions
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, Python)
