Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Risk Manager to join our team at Wells Fargo Bank. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading or participating in moderate to high-risk review activities in a matrixed environment, communicating emerging risks to management, contributing to large-scale planning related to Independent Testing deliverables, reviewing and researching moderately complex potential corrective actions, ensuring effective testing, validation, and documentation of review activities, resolving moderately complex issues, and collaborating with colleagues, internal partners, management, and lines of business regarding risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing substantive testing including end-to-end transaction & non-transaction testing of regulatory and risk reports with supervision
  • Documenting test results and timely escalation of exceptions identified
  • Proactively communicating issues to stakeholders including ownership, while providing recommendations to management
  • Developing clear and concise reporting to be shared with IT&V management and Front Line Units

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, risk management, or audit operations
  • Exposure in regulatory reporting and risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, internal audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, business process management) or financial services industry experience
  • 4+ years direct experience in regulatory reporting and testing
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting, or Big four public accounting experience, or Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
