Clinical Laboratory Executive

Executive Summary:

This is a leadership role where you will oversee the pre-clinical pathology lab. Your key responsibilities include planning and execution of blood collection, monitoring anesthesia/euthanasia of laboratory animals, and planning for necropsy examination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing and conducting necropsy examination of laboratory animals
2. Conducting and monitoring tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining of various studies
3. Histopathological slide reading for toxicity and efficacy studies
4. Monitoring Histopathological slide preparation
5. Slide reading and Histopathological report preparation of various Pre-clinical studies as a study pathologist
6. Conducting and monitoring clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters & urine analysis
7. Implementation and maintenance of high standard quality control check external as well as internal for in house biochemical analysis
8. Preparing SOPs related to pathology area
9. Controlling and supervising the maintenance and operation of various histopathology related instruments
10. Review of various in-house test results
11. Involvement in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects

Allied Responsibilities:

1. Availability of required chemicals and other related material/ facility for projects
2. RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports and study audits
3. Planning and execution of health monitoring of animal and employee
4. Collection of samples, analysis/dispatch of samples for various analyses
5. Preparation and execution of calibration schedule for pathology related equipments
6. Preparation and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for pathology lab related equipments
7. Any additional responsibility/activity as and when assigned by management which would not arise any conflict of interest
