Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Front-End Developer to collaborate with our back-end teams and stakeholders to craft seamless user interfaces. Your primary focus will be on implementing user-facing features using Django templates, ensuring optimal performance and maintaining code quality.

This role involves working closely with designers and other stakeholders to design, build, and maintain high-quality Django web applications. You'll also work with the back-end team to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic, manage RESTful APIs, and ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end components.

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and contribute to the development of scalable, efficient, and secure web applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality Django web applications, ensuring performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic.
  • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using Django ORM.
  • Manage RESTful APIs and ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end components.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent user experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to enhance application performance.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of Django ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) for efficient database handling.
  • Mastery of Django's template language for generating dynamic HTML content.
  • Familiarity with Django REST framework for building Web APIs.
  • Knowledge of class-based views to organise application logic.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • An understanding of security features in Django (e.g., XSS protection, CSRF protection).
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
