Job Description

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining complex cloud infrastructure environments using OpenStack. This role requires a deep understanding of OpenStack components, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using OpenStack.
  • Configure and manage OpenStack environments using Kolla-Ansible and TripleO.
  • Deploy and maintain Ceph storage clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Manage block storage (Cinder), file storage (Manila), and object storage (such as Ceph RGW/S3, Swift, or equivalent).
  • Maintain and optimize OpenStack control plane and compute resources for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Integrate OpenStack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in OpenStack, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience deploying OpenStack using Kolla-Ansible (container-based deployment) and TripleO (bare-metal deployment).
  • Relevant 3-5 years of experience with containerization technologies, primarily Docker.
  • Relevant 2-3 years of experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift administration.
  • Proficiency in Ceph storage setup and management for block, file, and object storage (S3, Swift, or equivalent).
  • Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments (VLANs, VXLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
