About the Role:

  • Collections specialists manage accounts receivable, resolve customer billing issues, and ensure disputed items are reviewed and necessary action is taken.
  • Individuals will draw on their previous AR & billing experience to perform these duties.
  • The specialist must comply with established policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and resolves basic and routine issues impacting payment
  • Overcomes customer objections concerning payments and assists them in understanding their account terms
  • Utilizes payment options and negotiates payment arrangements
  • Follows prescribed escalation procedures
  • Provides thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to customer and other stakeholder information using various software programs
  • Submits recommendations to write-off account balances
  • Monitors and maintains assigned queue of customer accounts
  • Maintains and improves customer relations
  • Presents reports to senior management as required
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure exceptional customer experience

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with accounts receivable and billing processes
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in using software programs for data entry and reporting
