Automation Tester Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile and API applications.

You will execute regression, functional, integration and performance tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.

As an Automation Tester, you will work closely with developers to identify, log and track defects, and collaborate with QA, development and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

You will also be responsible for enhancing and optimizing automation frameworks for scalability and reusability, and participating in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as an Automation Tester, you will require:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Appium.
    • Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript or C#.
    • Experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured or Karate).
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
    • Understanding of databases (SQL or Oracle).
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative Agile team.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
