Big Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines using Databricks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop efficient data pipelines utilizing Databricks for optimal data processing and storage.
  • Develop complex SQL stored procedures, views, and scripts for effective data manipulation and retrieval.
  • Perform performance tuning of SQL queries and database systems to ensure high efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Utilize Delta Lake for reliable data management and consistency, ensuring data integrity.
  • Leverage Google Big Query for large-scale data analytics, optimizing queries for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the reporting team to provide tailored views and tables supporting their reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize data pipeline and infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Implement data governance and security best practices to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering, recommending improvements to our data architecture and processes.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in big data engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks, SQL, and data pipeline design.
  • Experience with data governance and security best practices.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and optimize query performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
