Sports Content Editor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Content Editor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our editorial department, you will be responsible for editing and publishing articles across various sports, including UFC, NBA, NFL, MLB, and more.

About the Role:

  • Editing and publishing 20-25 articles per day, ensuring high-quality content that meets our standards.
  • Fact-checking, researching, and refining articles to deliver value to our readers.
  • Working closely with writers, editors, and content managers in our fast-paced newsroom to elevate content quality.
  • Mentoring and guiding writers to help them grow and evolve as contributors.
  • Staying up-to-date with breaking news and ensuring timely publication of articles.
  • Adhering to a flexible schedule that meets the needs of our US audience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a related field.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
  • Strong command of the English language and an understanding of American culture.
  • Energy and creativity to bring compelling stories to life.
  • Ability to analyze article performance metrics and use insights to elevate content quality.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team of talented writers.
