Astra Capital, a pioneering quantitative trading firm, is seeking an exceptional Senior Quantitative Trading Software Engineer to join our team. Our mission is to leverage cutting-edge technology and data-driven strategies to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns in the Indian markets.

Estimated Salary: ₹20,00,000 - ₹40,00,000 per annum

We are looking for a highly skilled software engineer with a strong background in Python, C++/Rust, and a passion for quantitative trading. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain proprietary trading software that enables our researchers and traders to make informed decisions.

About the Role:

  • Develop, test, and deploy real-time trade management software, fast and accurate data ingestion systems, multi-frequency trading systems, and simulation software.
  • Collaborate with our quantitative research team to gather requirements and deliver solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Continuously improve processes through automation and better monitoring tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain the overall technical infrastructure of our trading platform.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in software development using Python, C++/Rust.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms (searching, dynamic programming, etc.), and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with network programming, multi-threaded applications, distributed systems, and real-time programming.
  • Proficiency in RDBMS and experience with SQL/NoSQL database systems.
  • Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
  • Understanding of data science/machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with Python-based data ETL pipelines.
  • Prior experience working with a quantitative fund.
  • Knowledge of capital markets (cash and derivative products).
