Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data & Analytics Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting systems and tools used for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Maintenance and Monitoring: Ensure the smooth operation of Business Intelligence platforms, implement updates, and oversee performance and health of BI systems and pipelines.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues with Data & Analytics reports, dashboards, or data connections from end-to-end (from source systems down to Data & Analytics data products).
  • Data Integration and ETL Support: Help integrate various data sources and provide first and second-level support to ensure ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes in both On-Prem and Cloud environments run without errors.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with developers, database administrators, and data engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust and reports are accurate.
  • Documentation: Create documentation for troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and user guides.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Computer Sciences or a similar field of study.
  • Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience working within Azure ecosystem.
  • Ideally accomplished MS course DP-203 (Data Engineering).
Technical Expertise
  • Proficient in Azure BI Services such as Azure Synapse Analytics (including SQL Pools, Synapse Pipelines; Apache Spark for Synapse, Synapse Studio).
  • Experience in managing Azure Functions, Azure App Service Plans.
  • Knowledgeable coding in Python; PySpark; Spark SQL.
  • Strong command of TSQL and managing relational data.
Operational Skills
  • Experienced in efficient ticket management and prioritization to deliver timely resolutions to user inquiries and technical issues.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and flexibility in problem-solving.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work flexible or shifting schedules as required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
