Petrophysicist Expert

We are seeking a skilled Petrophysicist Expert to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, geophysics, physics or engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in petrophysical analyses.

You will work closely with our Formation Evaluation group to define project objectives, work scopes and deliverables. Your expertise will be utilized to conduct model-based petrophysical analyses, supporting the development of new and innovative workflows.

• Contribute to all stages of petrophysical project work, including data preparation, pre-processing, data filtering/augmentation, environmental corrections, and calibration.
• Perform sonic log, rock physics modeling, fluid substitution, well-to-seismic ties, and seismic modeling as needed.
• Collaborate with computational scientists, engineers, and geoscientists to test, deliver and support various petrophysical software tools, models, algorithms and software.

• Masters degree with a minimum GPA from a recognized university in Geology, Geophysics, Physics or Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in petrophysical analyses in support of upstream oil and gas operations.
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of seismic rock physics and seismic wave propagation.
• Strong computational and analytical skills.
• Experience with one or more integrated petrophysical analysis software suites.
