Gynaecology Specialist

Job Title: Reproductive Health Specialist

• Conduct daily rounds in the in-patient department and operating theatre to ensure patient care and treatment plans are being followed.
• Lead outpatient sessions, providing consultations and counselling to patients as needed.
• Perform intrauterine insemination, sonography, and other related tasks to support fertility treatments.
• Prescribe medication and requisition necessary items for patient care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure all patient files are complete and up-to-date.
• Verify daily orders written by junior doctors.
• Review patient parameters and investigations, checking monitoring charts for accuracy.
• Ensure informed consent is obtained from newly admitted patients.
• Advise patients on necessary investigations and inform them of any results.
• Take corrective actions based on patient complaints.

Operative Procedures:

• Perform operative procedures such as oocyte pickup, embryo transfer, and hysteroscopy.
• Oversee pre-operative preparation according to established protocols.
• Assist or conduct washing up in the operating theatre.
• Enter anaesthesia notes and write down operating theatre records.
• Provide post-operative orders to junior doctors.
• Take a post-op round immediately after shifting the patient and verify that nursing staff are following post-op instructions.
• Do post-op counselling to patient relatives.
• Ensure accurate documentation of post-op findings by nursing staff and junior doctors.
• Determine discharge and coordinate with senior medical staff to prepare discharge papers.
• Attend all types of emergency situations, seeking senior gynaecological assistance when complications arise.
• Participate in outreach programmes and camps.
• Monitor and control clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
