Cloud Engineering Specialist

As a Cloud Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating internal Code Hub Platform Engineering services on top of AWS/GitHub/Artifactory foundational layers.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Implementing infrastructure-as-code and automation pipelines using Terraform, GitHub Actions, and other DevOps tools.
- Leading or co-leading improvements in scalability, reliability, and developer experience for mission-critical services.
- Monitoring and continuously improving service performance, cost-efficiency, observability, and compliance with SRE best practices.
- Promoting engineering best practices, InnerSource contributions, knowledge sharing, and feedback gathering across platforms and Business Units.
- Contributing to and supporting the Backstage Developer Portal as a gateway to platform capabilities and self-service workflows.
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#).
- Experience with cloud-native development and deployment, especially on AWS (e.g., ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
- Experience designing, securing, and scaling CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Comfortable working with container-based systems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and modern observability tooling.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally across Business Units, security, and platform teams.
