Job Description

We are building a cutting-edge AI research suite that streamlines academic discovery. Our platform eliminates the time-consuming literature review process, allowing researchers to focus on high-impact science.

The role involves designing algorithms that accelerate scientific progress in medicine, AI, and climate-related fields. We seek an expert who can build and optimize semantic search pipelines, graph-based retrieval systems, and agentic frameworks.

Key responsibilities include architecting, implementing, and productionizing vector databases, embedding-based retrieval systems, and scalable APIs. The ideal candidate will also work on GenAI integrations, including react agents, graph agents, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute directly to infrastructure development, setting up full-stack search engines from scratch to handle real-world academic workloads. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, requiring experimentation, fast-paced movement, and shipping production systems that impact thousands of researchers worldwide.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in information retrieval, scalable backend systems, and generative AI.
  • Strong background in semantic search, vector databases, LLM frameworks, agent-based systems, and document retrieval.
  • Proficiency in Python for backend development, with experience deploying systems at scale.
  • Ability to design infrastructure that serves hundreds of concurrent requests.
  • Research-driven and pragmatic mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes.
