Duties and Responsibilities

As a key member of the DIATOZ Solutions Private Limited team, the IT Engineer will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading organizational computer-related activities. This includes determining the IT needs of the organization and implementing computer systems to fulfill its information systems requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical expert in system administration for complex operating systems, including understanding global or multi-office network infrastructure
  • Lead and assist teammates in various IT-related functions and keep them motivated
  • Design, install, and configure internal and customer-facing servers, network devices, and firewalls
  • Design and implement monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions to create a hands-off environment
  • Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy
  • Be responsible for installing and configuring new software and hardware, including the server network, devices, and firewalls, and setting up and managing VPN tunneling
  • Set up on-prem and cloud data centers, monitoring, dashboard, server health checks, and periodic optimization
  • Have strong troubleshooting ability on Windows and Linux RHEL, IBM standard applications, network, printer, and VPN issues
  • Be responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations, and storage utilization
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance
  • Plan ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in managing both on-prem and cloud infrastructure administration
  • CCNA/CCNP MCITP Server Certifications
  • Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
  • Minimum experience of 1 year with cloud-based technology such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2003/2008) /desktop Operating Systems (XP/7)
  • Managing over 50 Windows Server infrastructure
  • Managing deployments/rollouts
  • Managing large-scale Citrix/2X/Terminal Server installations
  • Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional - CCNA/CCNP MCITP Server
  • Group Policy design and configuration
  • Experience of 1 year of Microsoft IIS administration and configuration
  • Migration of Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010
  • Linux/UNIX administration, with hands-on shell scripting and commands (root and user commands) and at least 3 years of experience
  • Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues, including backbone infrastructure issues
  • LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Minimum experience of 3 years of leading an IT Team and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
  • Must be a team player
