Airport Cargo Clearance Specialist

We require a skilled individual to manage airport-based customs clearance and freight forwarding operations. This role involves coordinating closely with customs officials, CHA teams, transporters, and clients to ensure efficient clearance, compliance, and smooth air cargo movement.

Key Tasks:
  • Clear customs for import/export shipments at the airport cargo terminal.
  • Prepare and verify essential documents: Airway Bill, Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill.
  • Interact with Customs House Agents (CHA), customs officials, ground handling agents, airlines, and transporters.
  • Organize cargo collection and delivery between the airport and clients.
  • Timely payment of duties, taxes, and port/airport charges.
  • Maintain accurate records of clearance activities and submit regular reports.
  • Comply with customs, airport security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Solve any clearance or forwarding issues or delays.


Requirements:
  • Degree or relevant diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related fields.
  • 0-4 years of experience in clearing, forwarding, customs, or air freight operations.
  • Knowledge of customs clearance procedures at airports, particularly air cargo terminals.
  • Familiarity with documentation, HS codes, Incoterms, and airport cargo handling processes.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capability to handle documentation accurately under deadlines.
  • Valid G Card, Customs pass is a desirable asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software tools.
